I've been using these several years. I have the zero magnification ones, and just use them for the blue light filtration. I work a desk job, staring at a computer screen all day under dreadful fluorescent lights. Days I forget these glasses, I consistently have a headache by the end of the day. When I wear them, no problems at all. They are very effective, very lightweight, and they actually look ok. On a few occasions I've even worn them around outside without realizing I didn't have on my sunglasses - that's how effective the UV filtration is. The lenses do actually cast a very slight yellow tint, but really not very much, and it's definitely worth it for the pain it saves me. I've found them to be very durable as well. Normal use for nearly 3 years and I've never had scratches or visible wear anywhere on them. Like, no damage at all. I recommend them to others here at the office, and I've loaned them to people sometimes when they had headaches. Everyone has reported that the glasses helped. I really think this is a great product and well worth the money. Nice work, Prospek. : )
These are my favorite reading glasses and look better on me than any other pair I've owned. Love the style, the blue light protection, and the flexibility. They are also very lightweight providing comfort on the nose bridge. I love these so much, I purchased three pairs.
Durable, comfortable and does the job. What more could u ask for.
I've always wanted nonprescription glasses, but never found a reason to get one. I work on nights, and use my electronics for long periods of time, then come home to more electronics, so I basically get over 12 hours of staring at a screen. My right eye has given me problems to the point that I was getting worried. It seemed like it was turning inside out and twitching so bad. I would get blurred vision, and decided I needed to do something. I did go to an eye doctor, but because I'm overseas it was a little difficulty telling them all my symptoms. But they did the test and just said I needed antibiotics. It did work for a few days, but then went back to problems when I got back to work. So I was thinking I was out in the day, and I wasn't my phone a lot like usual. So long story short (I know it's already long) I did some research on eye strain and came across blue light problems. So I try these glasses, and my eyes do get a little strained, but my eye is DEFINITELY getting better. I think because the glasses only block out 50% of blue light, that I'm still getting some strain. But I'm so glad that I got these. My eyes are thanking me.On a side note. I got a lot of complements on the glasses. Even when I let other try them, I'm shocked on how good they look in them. A few asked about where I got them. However, I do feel the glasses feel a bit cheap. At least the frames do.Also, it comes with an hard case, so I wasted money ordering another. Since I do love the glasses I decided to order the same brand and get the 100% blue light coating. I figured it would be worth it since my eyes need all the healing it can get. I didn't know they made them that strong, otherwise I would have probably ordered them first. But I'm glad I got these by mistake. They look like regular glasses, and make things look clear in general. I really love these things.
For quite some time, I felt that my eyes were no right and that I was in need of corrective lenses. With my job, I am required to take an annual physical that includes an "eye test", which is a simple reading of an eye chart. Because of what I am able to dicern, albeit somewhat fuzzy, I still rate at 20/15 vision. I have also had two professional eye exams and had left feeling oddly disappointed with the same 20/15 result. I have some days where I struggle more than others with focus issues with tired and dry eyes but I assume that's the same for most people. At home, in the office, outdoors, in stores, all have a variety of factors, mostly lighting, that probably contribute to the degree of sight issues. I finally had reached an "I can't take it anymore" point of focus struggles and decided to break down and buy a pair of readers. I stopped by my local common drugstore to try on a few pair using a medicine bottle as my reading material as it's one of the most frustrating things that I try to read. I know very well that this print is much smaller than typical and not something that I would be reading often so I factored that in accordingly. As I tried on various pairs of glasses, I came across a (more expensive) "computer" reader. I wasn't sure about what exactly this was and then factoring in computer distance versus document distance, I opted to do a little research. This of course turned into a lot of research as I am one of those that really analyzes my purchases, hence the "unfortunate" length of this review. But my hope is to benefit someone with like experiences.I will spare you all of the specifics of my research, but I will simply say that I was quite surprised at all of the things to consider when considering reading glasses. But I was also surprised to learn about the effects of "blue light" or UV rays from flat screen devices and even some office and home lighting sources. What is called "digital eyestrain" more and more seemed like a sound explanation to why my vision is 20/15 but I'm still having issues. I do spend a lot of time in front of a desktop at work, in an office with fluorescent lighting and smartphone time in the evening along with LCD television, albeit from about 8 feet or more away. After reading much about digital eyestrain and relating that to my lifestyle, I came across the Prospeck (or Spektrum) line of glasses. After much consideration about paying a little more than what I otherwise would at the drugstore for something I wasn't 100% sure was a solution, I not only decided on the Prospeck Professional readers (1.50), but also a pair of the Dynamic with no power for desktop and tv use exclusively. I was sold on this brand because I ultimately felt that all things considered, the price was quite reasonable. But also, positive reviews that focused on things like their weight, universal nosepad comfort, quality of materials including spring hinges and size along with styling.I have had these glasses for about a week and a half and have been using them every day in a variety of applications. I am very pleased with the results as I do believe they make a noticable difference in the comfort of my eyes with less strain. For the Professional that are powered at 1.50, quite simply, you don't know what you can't see until you see it. Reading on my smartphone and even playing a couple of games under power is just more comfortable. Period. I do not have much of a qualified opinion about this point but I do feel like the quality and accuracy of the lenses is very good if not excellent. One thing I remember reading about in all of my research is how readers should have their strongest focus in the center of the lens to "guide your eyes" to that sweet spot properly. Forgive me for not remembering the proper technical term or phrase for this effect. As a reference, I wear a 7 1/2 cap size and the large frame option fits great on my nose and ears. The the weight is really only noticable if I'm thinking about the fact that I have them on. Aside from the benefit of power and the comfort of the frames, I am equally impressed by the management of blue light effects. My eyes are simply more comfortable and without question, it's from the reduction of blue light. I thought the slight tint would be a distraction but it's really not to me. Whites are no longer true white and rather have a very slight yellow or dingy like tone. But unless you are in graphic art where color accuracy is a priority, it's likely to only be initially noticable and quickly forgettable. Some reviews mentioned things like "corner glare" or reflections but I've not experienced any of that. There is also the matter of some computer glasses having a wild colored lens tint but I've had no one, including eyeglass wearers comment on the lens color. One last point is the concept of "better sleep". I hesitate to say that as a result of wearing these, I'm sleeping better. I am; however, I did rec...
